For those of you who sponsor a child through Compassion, you may know that once a year you can (in addition to your monthly support of the child) give an additional “family gift” to help the child’s family with a need they may have. Shelly and I did that last year. Compassion takes the donation and consults with the family to determine how it can be best spent. The money is not given to the family, Compassion after the consultation arranges to have put toward the family’s need.
We had not officially heard what was done with our financial gift to Jennifer’s family but in this video, Oscar our translator, explains what our donation purchased for Jennifer’s family.
